Just keep moving
“I don’t know if I am doing it correctly, but I will keep doing it till I get it right!”
— Sidney D. Huval
I’m not sure how many others wearing this same ring have a picture like this one.
I snapped it in 2023, during the launch of Bayou City Buildout, LLC at our first project.
It was just me and one employee, framing, hanging drywall and painting.
Since then, I’ve taken on a few more projects, growing the business slowly, one customer at a time.
I’m still working.
Still wearing my ring.
Still getting dirty.
Maybe it’s a Texas thing, but if you look at people's hands here, you’ll see all kinds of rings from the great schools: A&M, Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech.
These rings belong to engineers, doctors and tech pros alike.
I wear mine to build things, from kitchens to hospitals, and everything in between.
Today’s post is a long time coming:
I finally finished the company website, www.bayoucitybuildout.com
It’s nothing fancy, yet, but it’s live.
I want to give a quick shout-out to my alma mater, Rice Business, for preparing me for the realities of entrepreneurship.
When I look down and see my hands covered in paint and dirt, I’m reminded:
I have the privilege of being able to work and represent a legacy of other entrepreneurs, the builders and doers of yesterday, today and tomorrow. .
I welcome your feedback on the website, and stick around...
I’m not done building yet
